Job Description
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, prepare, submit, and follow up on PPAP documentation including annual validations.
- Generate and manage International Material Data System (IMDS) submissions.
- Coordinate cross-functionality with APQP and Program Managers, Engineers, and Production staff.
- Perform and maintain required Measurement System Analyses (MSA) and process capability studies.
- Verify that incoming documentation captures the Voice of the Customer including interpretation of engineering drawings using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Identify and resolve conflicting or incomplete PPAP data.
- Communicate directly with customers to resolve open issues and ensure timely approvals.
- Conduct internal manufacturing audits and reverse PFMEA audits to validate process conformance and improve documentation and controls.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Post secondary education or certification in Quality Technician/Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in PPAP management, with strong statistical & MSA knowledge.
- Experience using and maintaining the IMDS system.
- Certified ISO 9001 Internal Auditor with IATF16949 internal auditor training is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of using Minitab for statistical analyses is preferred
- Experience with Waypoint Global Quality Planner is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of material and commercial specifications such as ASTM, ASME, AMS/SAE and special process specifications is an asset.

- Report all accidents, incidents and near misses and supports corrective actions to eliminate workplace hazards.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, CSA standards, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario.
- Complete all required Health & Safety training as required by Samuel, Son & Co., Ltd..

The expected compensation range for this position is $64,800-$89,100. This range includes base pay and target variable pay. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We also consider internal equity to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. This range reflects the expected full compensation range for the role; most offers will fall within the range and not at the maximum in order to allow for future growth.
