Job Description
Summary: Samsung Electronics America is an advanced advertising technology company focused on connecting brands with Samsung TV audiences. The DL Gen AI Intern will research and develop generative AI solutions and deep learning algorithms, working closely with an engineering team to enhance predictive model accuracy and create impactful machine learning products.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop GenAI and Agentic AI solutions that automatically extract and synthesize high-dimensional embedding features from multi-source datasets
- Leverage GenAI capabilities to experiment with novel vector space refinement approaches and feature engineering techniques to significantly enhance predictive model accuracy for advertising solutions
- Design and develop deep learning algorithms and models for real-world products
- Closely work with the machine learning engineering team to deploy new models to generate real-world impact
- Create quick prototypes and proof-of-concepts for future product features
- Design experiments, perform evaluations, and apply enhancements to our products
- Publish research results in top venues and file patents
- Explore cutting-edge machine learning technologies for our products
Required Qualifications:
- PhD students in Computer Science or relevant fields
- Thorough understanding of state-of-the-art LLM models and Agentic AI systems
- Solid theoretical background in machine learning and/or data mining
- Hands-on experience with machine and deep learning algorithms and models
- Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Keras, etc.)
- Strong programming skills with Python
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Publications in relevant top venues (e.g., KDD, NIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI, ICDM, ACL, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge about big data tools and data pipelines

Nice-to-Have Skills: Data structures, Big data tools, communication
