Summary: Samsung Ads is part of Samsung Electronics Home Appliance America, and they are seeking a Logistics Automation Engineer Intern to assist the Material Logistics Automation Team. The intern will provide technical support, lead process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency. Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to manufacturing and other related functions - Leads manufacturing process improvement methods, and systems for products, facilities, fixtures, tooling, equipment, and/or materials - Design, implement, and review manufacturing procedures and equipment - Identify areas for improvement and maintain high levels of manufacturing and product quality - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make improvements in all major production KPI’s - Brainstorm and present new Automation ideas and realization - Design/Create autonomous material call system for material delivery from logistics to final production through AGV technology and systems (C/C#) - Improve AGV(Automated guided vehicle) delivery efficiency and create/design new AGV(hardware/software) - Create a comprehensive PM Plan for AGVs and operation via program or Excel - Improve AGV material handling such as a new trolley design and lineside automation Required Qualifications: - Must be a rising/junior pursuing a four year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field - Prior work and/or internship experience in an Engineering field is ideal, but not required - Must have coursework in engineering studies, and/or a related science field - Computer Skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, etc.) - All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs Required Skills: AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, MS Office, C, C#, Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) Technology, Manufacturing Process Improvement, Programmatic Preventive Maintenance Planning
