Summary: Samsung Ads is a division of Samsung Electronics Home Appliance America, seeking a summer intern for their EHS Environmental team. The intern will engage in environmental compliance projects and assist with various EHS-related tasks. Responsibilities: - Work on environmental components within the Integrated Management System - Assist with tasks during HQ EHS/Infrastructure and internal ISO audits - Assist with regulatory evaluation and reporting requirements pertaining to air quality, storm water, wastewater, hazardous waste, and chemical management - Monitor for EHS key performance indicators - Assist with materials management for the Hazard Communication Program - Develop training materials and communication materials - Participate in pollution prevention initiatives and events - Participate in site assessment of Water Restoration Project - Participate in implementation of DX Meta Factory - Assist with initiation of wildlife biological assessment of property - Develop PIT traffic study for pedestrian monitoring - Development of online training tracker Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a four-year degree in either Environmental Science, Studies, Health, Engineering, or Sustainability, OR a related science degree (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Education) - Microsoft office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, and Access) - Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time (up to 1 hour), use standard office equipment, work outdoors, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (hard toe safety shoes, safety glasses/goggles, and hearing protection) - All employees for all positions must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 lbs Preferred Qualifications: - Prior work and/or internship experience in a science field is ideal, but not required - Knowledge of coding and Canva is a plus Required Skills: Environmental Compliance, Integrated Management System, ISO Audits, Regulatory Evaluation, Air Quality Management, Storm Water Management, Wastewater Management, Hazardous Waste Management, Chemical Management, EHS Key Performance Indicators, Hazard Communication Program, Pollution Prevention, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Personal Protective Equipment
