Summary: Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. is a leader in professional hair color and beauty supplies, operating across 11 countries. They are seeking a Finance Intern to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting, with responsibilities including partnering with finance leaders and working on various finance projects. Responsibilities: - Each finance intern will partner with an experienced finance leader who will serve as a mentor to guide how we conduct business and how tasks are completed - Interns will be assigned several projects giving exposure to different areas of corporate finance and the product lifecycle including: segment financial analysis, Merchandise Finance Planning, Replenishment and Buying - Specific projects can include process mapping to discover opportunities for efficiency, building financial models to support analysis and/or forecasting efforts, or comparing financial performance of key categories and brands - Partners with project manager in specific finance area to complete each assigned project - Communicates with business partners throughout the organization as needed - Each intern will give an end-of-summer presentation to Sally executives on one of their projects Required Qualifications: - Pursuing a major in Finance, Merchandising, or a related field - Proficient in Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel and PowerPoint - Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal - Excellent Organizational skills - Ability to use data to understand and analyze complex business problems - Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial business partners - Ability to work with multiple departments and various levels of management Preferred Qualifications: - Some knowledge or education in General Ledger software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) is a plus Required Skills: Financial analysis, Microsoft Excel, Financial modeling Important Skills: General Ledger software Nice-to-Have Skills: Data analysis, Communication, Organizational skills, Cross-department collaboration
