Summary: Salem Media Group is a prominent media company specializing in conservative voices and news through its Salem News Channel. They are seeking a versatile Video Producer to manage pre-production, live production, and post-production tasks, ensuring high-quality content delivery across various platforms. Responsibilities: - Research, curate clips and sound bytes for show, source VO and Broll for show topics, confirm and plan live ad reads for the show each day, pitch topics, pitch and book guests - Ensure encoder is streaming and connected to the endpoint, operate the video switcher as needed, manage on screen appearance of host, manage show clock and segment timing when needed, ensure top quality; write lower-third headlines, assist with call in phone lines and screening, play clips and VO when called for or appropriate - Cut clips from the show for social media and apps, create thumbnails and post clips to cms and social pages, write title and description for VOD show, ensure show is posted for VOD and appearing on all platforms - Plan shows for holidays and coordinate pretapes, assist in coordinating and setting up guest hosts for days that host is out, coordinate with Executive Network Producer and Director of Network operations on show improvements and workflows - All tasks assigned by the Director of Network Operations and the Executive Network Producer Required Qualifications: - Sharp news judgment - Careful attention to detail - Background in video production and radio production - Experience working with talent, booking guests - Highly organized - Familiarity with social media landscape and posting best practices - Works well in a team environment, as well as independently - Ability to take and apply feedback - Aptitude for making production based direction calls when needed - Enthusiastic about learning new skills Required Skills: Video Production, Radio Production, Talent Booking, Social Media Posting, News Judgment, Production Direction, Take Feedback Benefits: Health, dental, vision and life insurance, 401k retirement plan, Paid holidays and vacation time
