Job Description
Summary: SageSure is a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, seeking an Intern to join their Business Intelligence team as part of the Rising Pioneer Program. The intern will gain hands-on experience by working on various projects, collaborating with team members, and receiving coaching from professionals in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and network with employees, leaders, and other interns during an on-the-job experience
- Potential to earn college credit
- Research and analysis support on ad-hoc projects
- Fulfill tasks set out by team leaders
- Receive coaching, mentoring and feedback from knowledgeable SageSure professionals
- Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Work with large datasets to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality
- Support ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from business teams
- Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to improve data pipelines and reporting processes
- Document reporting standards, dashboards, and data definitions for future use
- Present findings and recommendations to team members and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program with a focus on Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field with an anticipated graduation date in 2026 or 2027
- Strong communication skills, problem solving, and reasoning skills
- Ability to multitask and hungry to learn
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and manipulating data
- Exposure to data visualization and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present data clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship experience
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- AI experience or coursework (e.g., applied AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or workplace analytics tools)
