They are seeking a Process Engineer I to assist the operations team in achieving product yield goals and to support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: - Operational Performance: Assist the operations team in meeting product yield and scrap targets by performing process checks, quality control activities, and basic problem-solving tasks. Participate in process optimization efforts for streamlined polymer, plating, painting, and other finishing processes under guidance from senior engineers - Testing & Data Analysis: Conduct qualification tests on raw materials and products, perform routine material formulation tests, and analyze process data using statistical tools to support continuous improvement - Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Gain exposure to multiple manufacturing processes, including polymer molding, plating, and painting, to develop a broad understanding of production workflows - Learn design/process principles, material science fundamentals, and standard work practices to build foundational expertise for future responsibilities - Project Support: Assist with short-term projects related to product quality, process improvements, and troubleshooting equipment. Provide hands-on assistance on small-scale experiments to validate process changes - Standardizing Documentation: Create or assist in preparing clear, concise engineering reports, instruction bulletins, and standard work documentation to ensure consistent process execution - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, design engineering, operations, and R&D teams to support and communicate input on mold design, material specifications, and process improvements - Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules - Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules - Maintain regular and punctual attendance - Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required - Communicate effectively and respectfully with others - Other responsibilities as assigned - Collaborate with the R&D team on development efforts and needs - Qualify new tooling/process equipment for manufacturing by obtaining dimensional and validations test results on manufactured product - Visit suppliers for support or Factory Acceptance Testing Required Qualifications: - Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university majoring in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering or a related major - 0-2 Years of experience in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial engineering - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Basic understanding of various manufacturing technologies and methods, preferably within the process or chemical manufacturing industry - Good interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience - Good communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation), able to partner with and communicate with customers, both technical and non-technical - Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the quality function - Good organizational planning, coordinating internal and external resources, and juggling key demands - Sound business sense and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed actions, solve basic problems, and drive learning - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, including the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary - Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access, or other similar systems.
