Summary: Ryerson is a leading provider of industrial metal products and services with a long-standing commitment to excellence and customer service. The Data & Business Intelligence Analyst will transform data into actionable insights, develop dashboards and reports, collaborate with business and technical teams, and support data ingestion and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop subject matter expertise of data content & structure to perform analysis and develop transformation & enhancement rules for data from a wide variety of source systems (internal & external)
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to support data ingestion and reporting solutions to our Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Key point of contact and collaboration on design, development, and enhancement of dashboards, reports, and analytic tools
- Partner with business and technical teams to gather and document requirements
- Create prototype solutions to validate business cases and reporting needs
- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and reporting issues
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and deliver actionable business insights
- Create training materials and deliver user training on reporting tools and analytics solutions

Required Qualifications:
- • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- • 1+ years of experience delivering business intelligence or analytics solutions
- • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong data analysis capabilities
- • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or similar analytics platforms
- • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
- • Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and motivated to continually learn and grow
Preferred Qualifications:
- • Exposure to Microsoft data and analytics technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Power BI, or SQL preferred
