Job Description
Summary: Rue Gilt Groupe is a premier off-price e-commerce portfolio company that combines three complementary brands. The Merchandise Planning Analyst will utilize data analysis to optimize category merchandising performance, maximize sales, and contribute to the overall success of merchandise strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze historical performance to inform future action and strategies and capitalize on future opportunities for success
- Develop an understanding of key performance metrics, such as gross demand, gross margin profit and inventory productivity
- Provide analytical support to the Merchandise Planning team, contributing to effective decision-making and the overall success of the merchandise planning strategies
- Track and evaluate the financial performance of merchandise categories against established KPI’s
- Organize and prioritize workload for self to ensure timeliness and accuracy
- Organize, maintain, and track the in-season event frameworks, supporting the overall operations of the business
- Identify process improvement opportunities within merchandise planning
- Foster a collaborative culture within the planning team
- Actively participate in self-development
- Build and foster effective relationships with Merchandising, Programing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Merchandising strategies to support overall business objectives
Required Qualifications:
- An effective communicator who loves to collaborate with others
- Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment
- 0-2 years' experience: internships and co-ops are welcome
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
