Job Description
Summary: RTX is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. This entry-level position focuses on providing product support across the product life cycle in materials and process engineering, specifically emphasizing non-metallic materials.
Responsibilities:
- You will participate on multidisciplinary engineering teams as the non-metallic materials engineering representative
- You will apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to validate hardware and/or process conformance to related specification requirements with an emphasis on non-metallic and elastomeric materials
- You will interpret specification requirements and communicate with Collins Operations sites and suppliers as required
- You will do project management and collaboration with engineering teams across Collins Aerospace to solve materials and process challenges
Required Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Aerospace materials and processes
- Experience with elastomers, polymers, and chemical regulations
- Experience in technical evaluations, communication, and reporting
- Six-Sigma certification (or equivalent) or root cause analysis experience
