Mechanical Engineer I - Test Solutions - Onsite

Summary: RTX, formerly Raytheon Technologies, is dedicated to supporting the nation and allies in defense. The Mechanical Engineer I will design and develop mechanical solutions for advanced test systems, contributing to all phases of the mechanical design lifecycle. Responsibilities: - Research, plan, and design mechanical test systems for vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical environments - Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements - Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions - Develop mechanical solutions that support the full product lifecycle from development to sustainment - Utilize CAD solid modeling tools to create detailed design drawing package Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) - Experience using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, such as CREO or equivalent - Experience with mechanical hardware documentation or drawing standards - Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance - Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) or Model Based Design (MBD) - Previous experience in a production or aerospace testing environment - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to mechanical malfunctions - Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, cross-functional team environment Required Skills: Computer Aided Design (CAD), Mechanical hardware documentation, Drawing standards, Model Based Engineering (MBE), Model Based Design (MBD), Mechanical test systems design, Vibration testing, Thermal testing, Hydraulic testing, Radio frequency testing, Electro-optical testing Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Short-term disability, Long-term disability, 401(k) match, Flexible spending accounts, Flexible work schedules, Employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, Parental leave, Paid time off, Holidays
