In this role, you will participate across the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept design and structural/thermal analysis to rapid prototyping, design verification testing, and factory support. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment alongside systems, electrical, and manufacturing engineers, you will solve complex technical challenges to deliver robust, high-reliability mechanical solutions.

Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers is generally required. International and longer-duration travel assignments are available but optional.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, model, and document mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and major end items in accordance with rigorous defense system requirements.
• Generate and maintain parametric 3D CAD models, complex assembly hierarchies, and detailed 2D engineering drawings.
• Validate design fit, form, and functionality through rapid prototyping, physical testing, and engineering simulations.
• Support factory operations, integration facilities, and external suppliers with product manufacturing, assembly, and integration.
• Participate actively in design peer reviews, resolve technical action items, and conduct trade studies to inform engineering decisions.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to analyze and resolve mechanical hardware issues.
