Summary: RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to develop and improve manufacturing processes. The role involves collaborating with various teams to implement robust processes and providing engineering support to ensure on-time hardware delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: - Ability to work cross functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, test, and design to implement robust processes - Review and validate recommendations regarding manufacturability of existing and future products and advise modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints - Drive Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data driven decision making - Provide real-time technical support to assemblers/operators and inspectors - Participate on corrective action teams and support root cause/corrective action investigations Required Qualifications: - Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant experience - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Preferred Qualifications: - Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) - Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools - Experience/familiarity with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP) - Experience/familiarity with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES) - Experience/familiarity with Product Data Management tools and systems (ie Windchill/PDM) - Familiarity with military and industry standards - Experience with conducting safety/ergonomic assessments - Familiarity with standard material handling practices, especially as they pertain to Electrostatic Discharge mitigation requirements - Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Word, etc) - Good written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills - Self-motivated and results oriented individual with an ability to work in a team environment - Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines - Good organizational skills with fine attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Required Skills: Geometric Dimensioning, Tolerancing (GD&T), CAD solid modeling, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Shop Floor Management, Product Data Management, Military, industry standards, Safety assessments, Ergonomic assessments, Electrostatic Discharge mitigation, Microsoft Office Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Short-term disability, Long-term disability, 401(k) match, Flexible spending accounts, Flexible work schedules, Employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, Parental leave, Paid time off, Holidays
