Summary: RTX is a leader in aerospace and defense, and they are seeking an intern for their Controls & Diagnostic Systems team. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing solutions for control systems, as well as conducting testing and verification of software and system requirements. Responsibilities: - Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions to control dynamic mechanical, power, and electric systems - Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software or systems requirements and designs - Conduct iterative prototype testing and reviews of requirements and designs - Perform software verification including regression analysis, test case development, test script development and evaluation of results - English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, Software or Electrical Engineering - Minimum GPA of 3.0 - English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English Preferred Qualifications: - Basic understanding of gas turbine jet engine operation and sub-systems - Programming experience in C++, MATLAB, Java, or Phyton - Experience with modeling tools for complex systems (NPSS, Dymola, Simulink) - Ability to execute in a multidiscipline working environment Required Skills: Gas turbine jet engine operation, C++, MATLAB, Java, Python, Modeling tools for complex systems, NPSS, Dymola, Simulink, Software verification, Regression analysis, Test case development, Test script development, Results driven, English communication Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
