Pratt & Whitney is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems and has been revolutionizing modern flight for over 100 years. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.

Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Engines Engineering organization is seeking a Customer Technical Service Engineer II to join the PW1500G/PW1900G/PW800 (24K) Customer Technical Services team, supporting Cold Section (Fan, Low Pressure Compressor, and High Pressure Compressor) hardware. In this role, you will help resolve hardware technical, maintenance, or operational issues with a focus on maintaining engine safety, fleet reliability, and customer performance. You’ll work directly with airline operators, Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Organizations (MRO), field service teams, airframers, and engineering experts around the world to address in-service issues and develop practical solutions that keep aircraft flying. This assignment provides unique insight into how an aerospace OEM supports airline customers, engine shops, and airframers from an engineering standpoint throughout the engine's in-service lifecycle. You’ll work across multiple engineering disciplines, Gear Turbo Fan (GTF) engine models, hardware systems, and customers, making flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize competing demands essential to success.

What You Will Do:

• Resolve in-service technical issues by investigating customer questions and system-level engine events, coordinating with engineering and field teams, and providing timely technical recommendations that support safe and reliable fleet operation.
• Develop customer-facing technical solutions by initiating Engineering Authorizations, Special Instructions, Service Bulletins, maintenance documents, and related engineering data to address Fan, Low Pressure Compressor, and High Pressure Compressor hardware issues and improvements.
• Support global fleet operations by contributing to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Engine Manuals, and Clean, Inspect & Repair documentation while responding to customer and MRO technical needs to maintain shop throughput and minimize operational disruption.
• Collaborate across the aerospace industry by participating in airline and MRO meetings, customer councils, conferences, and technical reviews while coordinating with Program offices, Chief Engineers, Customer Field Directors, Component Integrated Product Teams, regulatory authorities, field service representatives, and other stakeholders to implement fleet solutions.
• Represent Pratt & Whitney with customers and industry partners by presenting technical information, communicating engineering recommendations, and building productive relationships with global airlines, MRO organizations, airframers, and other partners through customer engagements and industry events.

Travel Requirement: This position requires approximately 10–20% travel, including domestic and international travel to airline customers, MRO organizations, repair facilities, partners, and suppliers. Travel may also include participation in customer meetings, conferences, and industry events.

What You Will Learn:

• Gain firsthand experience supporting commercial airline fleets, MRO operations, and understanding how engineering decisions affect real-world aircraft operations.
• Develop expertise in GTF engine operational and maintenance events for Fan, Low Pressure Compressor, and High Pressure Compressor hardware, as well as in-service engineering customer support across the PW1500G, PW1900G, and PW800 engine models.
• Build experience developing and releasing engineering and maintenance technical data used by airlines, MROs, and field service organizations.
• Develop cross-functional expertise by working directly with various engineering disciplines, program, safety, regulatory, field service, customer service, and manufacturing organizations.
• Build global customer and industry experience through airline engagements, MRO interactions, technical conferences, and training events.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field. Relevant experience: demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues, communicate engineering information, and collaborate across functions.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience working with commercial airline customers, MRO organizations, aircraft operators, or aerospace field service teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience presenting technical information to customers, leadership, or cross-functional teams, including in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations.
• Demonstrated professional judgment, adaptability, and maturity when addressing complex technical or customer issues.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships across global customers, engineering teams, suppliers, and industry partners.
