The Cloud & Hosting Internship involves supporting scalable and secure infrastructure solutions and monitoring system performance across hybrid environments. Responsibilities: - Assist in supporting scalable and secure infrastructure solutions across hybrid environments, including AWS, Azure, and on-premises hosting - Help monitor system performance, availability, and reliability of cloud and hosting services - Support cloud cost tracking efforts and assist in identifying opportunities to optimize resource usage - Learn and assist with automation of infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible - Assist with analyzing cloud usage and infrastructure performance data - Support documentation of infrastructure standards, processes, and best practices - Participate in monitoring and maintaining security standards and compliance requirements - Assist with routine audits related to system performance, security, and cost management - Work with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure solutions that meet application and business needs - Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices Required Qualifications: - Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline - Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure - Basic understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) - Exposure to scripting or automation concepts (PowerShell, Python, or similar) - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts - Exposure to container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is a plus - Interest in cloud cost management and FinOps practices - Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate and learn - Interest in pursuing cloud or infrastructure certifications Required Skills: Cloud computing concepts, AWS, Microsoft Azure Important Skills: Infrastructure as Code, Virtualization technologies, Scripting, automation Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills
