Job Description
Summary: RTX is a leading company focused on helping the nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. They are seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to join the Multi-Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) team, supporting systems engineering, algorithms development, and test data analysis for radar systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, activities in our labs
- Support evaluation of our development modules
- Support troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment
- Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB
- FPGA programming and debugging
- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
- Support planning and execution of Integration, Verification, modeling activities in our labs
- Support evaluation of our development modules

- Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelors degree program or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics degree program
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date
- Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipment
- Exposure to troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobby
- Exposure to data analysis using tools such as MATLAB and/or C++
- Experience or coursework in FPGA programming and debugging
- Existing Department of War SECRET security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or coursework in System Design
- Experience or coursework with Continuous and discrete time systems, Fourier transforms, and filter design
- 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher
- Ability to analyze issues and define solutions
- Strong communication skills including effective written, verbal, and listening skills
- Self-starter with the ability to independently pursue information and solve problems
- Proven strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Basic Engineering skills and interest in how systems are developed and function
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to problem solve and seek out additional resources
