Job Description
Summary: RTX is a leading aerospace and defense company looking for motivated Software Engineers to join their Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) team in Fullerton, California. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and troubleshoot radar software solutions while collaborating with Scrum teams and following Agile development practices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot radar software solutions
- Assist in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools
- Contribute to the development of new work products or enhance existing applications and systems
- Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions in C++ and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Participate in technical reviews of software components and systems
- Follow established Agile/Scrum development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming in C++
- Experience or coursework in software development
- Strong interest in problem solving and software troubleshooting
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software development life cycle practices
- Experience or coursework in Unix/Linux operating systems
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git or similar tools)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies through coursework or internships
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to produce technical documentation
- Desire to learn new technologies, tools, and processes
