Summary: RTX is a leading company in aerospace and defense, seeking an Algorithm Systems Engineer II to provide technical algorithm support and analysis for various programs. The role involves performance analysis, algorithm development, and collaboration with a team of engineers to solve complex problems in airborne surveillance systems. Responsibilities: - Provide technical algorithm support and analysis to several programs or Internal Research and Development (IRAD) efforts on the family of Advanced Sensor Programs - Participate in peer reviews and resolve identified technical problems - Interface with team lead, team members, and related engineers on a daily basis - Conduct or participate in customer and/or program presentations - Provide task progress status updates and work products to the team lead Required Qualifications: - Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date - This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) - Experience in any of the following areas: Signal Processing Algorithms or Models, Image Processing Algorithms or Models, Detection Theory or Machine Learning - Experience with UNIX/Linux and demonstrated computer programming skills in C or C++ and using MATLAB or Python for data analysis - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.
