Summary: RTX is a leading company in the aerospace and defense sector, and they are looking for a Summer Intern for the F135 Program Digital Solutions team. The intern will work on advancing the program's capabilities by executing the Digital Roadmap and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance core business processes. Responsibilities: - Learn to utilize PowerAps and PowerPlatforms for business process automations - Work collaboratively with users, stakeholders and Agile Development teams - Learn a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) philosophy and a “digital first” mentality to help users and stakeholders to digitalize the best process that should be, not just digitize the process they have - Document learnings and best practices to develop standards for business process automations - Data as a Product Development/ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) from MRO&U (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade) ASoTs (Authoritative Sources of Truth) - Full stack Python/HTML/CSS/JavaScript development in a Cloud-based environment (Azure/AWS) - English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, a STEM field, or Business, with a passion for process improvement and software development - Must be currently enrolled at East Hartford AOE, Hartford Public High School (HPHS), Pathways Academy of Technology & Design, or New Britain MET - Rising seniors (summer between 11th & 12th grade) - Minimum of a 2.5 GPA - Commitment to all dates and times of the internship - Must be at least 16 years of age - US Citizenship required Preferred Qualifications: - Agile trained (practitioner, scrum master, product owner, JIRA) - Familiarity using Jira, Confluence, Data Bricks, PowerApps, PowerPlatforms - Application Program Interface (API) design and documentation - SQL, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Vue.js) - Interest in modeling & simulation tools, workflows, and project management - Interest in concepts and technologies that enable seamless data exchange across data platforms - Ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual & in-person environment Required Skills: PowerApps, PowerPlatforms, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Business Process Automation, Data ETL Extract, Data ETL Transform, Data ETL Load, MRO&U Maintenance data, MRO&U Repair data, MRO&U Overhaul & Upgrade data, Full stack development, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Cloud platforms Azure, Cloud platforms AWS, Agile methodology, Jira, Confluence, Data Bricks, API design, SQL, Vue.js Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Short-term disability, Long-term disability, 401(k) match, Flexible spending accounts, Flexible work schedules, Employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, Parental leave, Paid time off, Holidays
