Job Description
Summary: RTX is a company with over 100 years of experience in engineering, focused on helping the nation and allies defend freedoms. They are seeking a Process Engineering Intern to support projects in a cleanroom environment, involving hands-on problem-solving and collaboration to improve manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead approximately three meaningful engineering projects to support an ISO Class 8 cleanroom high-mix production factory with project mentor support
- Perform fast-paced hands-on work with a tangible impact and regular collaboration
- Projects typically span different process areas and types of projects including, but not limited to:
- Automated assembly equipment set up, characterization, and/or optimization (improving quality, throughput, etc.)
- Analysis of new materials and/or manual build processes to determine new methodologies and prepare for production release
- Use Design of Experiments (DOE) or Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to improve processes
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least a sophomore by the start of summer 2026 pursuing a degree in Manufacturing engineering, Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, Chemical engineering, or Electrical engineering, Biomedical engineering, Biochemistry, or Physics
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Completed junior year by the start of summer 2026
- Previous manufacturing / process engineering experience
- Hands-on experience through extracurricular, lab, or research experiences
