Job Description
Summary: RTX is a company that values innovation and collaboration, and they are seeking a Digital Product Configuration Management Engineer Intern to join their team. The intern will be responsible for coordinating data transfers, automating processes, and providing technical support throughout the program lifecycle at the Schriever Space Force Base.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and lead coordination of data transfers, courier support among various environments
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across all teams
- Automate and streamline transfer procedures and processes
- Create customized / tailored configurations, workflows, automations, reports, and integrations that meet specific program, customer and/or site requirements
- Trouble-shoot / repair issues, escalations, and action items
- Maintain familiarity with program schedule, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency
- Support internal and external customers in a technical capacity throughout the program lifecycle
- Ensure site baseline and post deploy verifications
- Work onsite Schriever Space Force Base site
Required Qualifications:
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Technology, Engineering, or Math, Physics or related field (STEM) and will be at minimum Senior or Post Grad year by summer 2026
- Experience in debugging/troubleshooting of connectivity issues in complex systems
- Automation experience shell scripting in Linux, Unix, and Windows
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, and prior Internship experience
- Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
- Strong background in task automation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with scripting programming languages (i.e., Perl, shell, PHP, C#, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML)
- Work effectively with stakeholders from cross discipline organizations
