Job Description
Summary: RTX is a leader in aerospace and defense, seeking Mechanical Engineers to join their Test Equipment Directorate. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex test environment systems for various Raytheon products.
Responsibilities:
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments
- Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements
- Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Education and/or Experience with project work in one or more of the following: Mechanical/electronic sub-systems packaging, material selection, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Completion of 1 internship in a related field
- Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric
- Experience with creating design drawing packages
- Experience in Model Based Engineering or Model Based Design
- Previous Internship and/or Co-Op
