Summary: RTX is the world largest aerospace and defense company, seeking a passionate Software Engineer I to join their Space and RF Sensors team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software for aerospace and defense applications, collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure optimal system performance. Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain software for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring robust functionality and reliability - Implement, test, and debug software solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards - Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance - Participate in code reviews, testing procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and development processes - Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner - Document software designs, test results, and troubleshooting processes for future reference Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (STEM) - This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships) - Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java - Experience in software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies - The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
