Associate Analyst at Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, Ontario, CA

Job Description Trading & Portfolio Operations (~40%)

• Support daily portfolio monitoring, including tracking cash levels, asset mix, and weights of individual positions
• Assist with trade execution and determine necessary trades to rebalance funds back to target
• Help implement tactical asset mix changes as directed by Portfolio Managers & Asset Mix Committees
• Communicate with PMs of underlying funds with respect to daily trades/rebalancing

Research Support (~30%)

• Assist with ad hoc research on secular and thematic market trends across various asset classes
• Conduct investment research and analysis to support portfolio construction decisions/exposures
• Contribute to articles, white papers, investment commentaries, and client-facing materials on topics including diversification and asset allocation

AI Implementation (~20%)

• Assist in identifying and implementing AI tools to enhance investment processes and workflows
• Support automation initiatives for research, analytics, and portfolio management activities
• Collaborate with the team on data analysis and technology integration projects
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve team efficiency

Portfolio Construction Support (~10%)

• Assist in analyzing lookthrough portfolio positioning and asset allocation exposures
• Support risk analysis, performance attribution, and scenario modeling
• Contribute to solution design and new product development initiatives
