Job Description
Summary: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Finance Intern to assist with key accounting activities and gain exposure to budgeting and financial analysis. This role involves supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, and maintaining organized financial documentation while collaborating with professionals across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with key accounting activities such as supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, and helping reconcile general ledger and bank accounts to ensure financial accuracy
- Work with accounting systems and spreadsheets, research and resolve discrepancies, and help maintain organized financial documentation
- Gain exposure to budgeting and financial analysis by assisting with variance reviews, budget preparation, and reporting
- Help gather and manage financial data from multiple sources, run reports to verify accuracy, and support projects that improve financial processes and internal controls
Required Qualifications:
- Matriculation in a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field; or Associate's degree in Business, Accounting or a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time general bookkeeping experience; or High School diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) year of full-time general bookkeeping experience
