Summary: Rolls-Royce is a leading company in innovation and engineering, and they are seeking a Mechanical Enclosure Design Engineer. The role involves developing and designing electronic enclosures for aero gas turbine engines, ensuring project requirements are met from concept through to qualification testing. Responsibilities: - Perform component trade studies for new and existing hardware, create and review functional and physical interfaces, and generate analysis requirements for enclosure - Collaborate with electronics engineering to develop enclosures that jointly meet electronic and mechanical requirements and guidelines - Support creation of detailed drawings and model-based definition and support project/manufacturing to procure conforming hardware - Orchestrate Technical Review/Design Review and communicate solutions with the project/customer: develop technical presentations and associated technical reports in the delivery of solutions - Assure compliance with applicable product certification requirements (i.e. RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810) Required Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Engineering with 1+ years of design experience, OR - Masters degree in Engineering, OR - PhD in Engineering - In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in electronic enclosures design - Experience using computer aided design and analysis tools such as Siemens NX and ANSYS - Familiarity with cross-discipline engineering concepts which include but are not limited to manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis - Knowledge of aero gas turbine control systems - Experience using computer aided design tools such as Siemens NX - Familiarity with design processes and component testing Required Skills: Electronic Enclosure Design, Computer Aided Design, Siemens NX, ANSYS, Mechanical Analysis, Thermal Analysis, Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Manufacturing Engineering, Aero Gas Turbine Control Systems, Product Certification Compliance - RTCA/DO-160, Product Certification Compliance - MIL-STD-810 Benefits: Health, dental, vision, disability, life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance, Flexible spending account, Health savings account, 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, Employee Assistance Program, Paid Time Off, Certain paid holidays, Paid parental and family care leave, Tuition reimbursement, Long-term incentive plan
