Work Duties - Operations Sanitation Staff

Position: Sanitation Staff

Department: Operations

Reports to: Facility Sanitation Lead and Plant Supervisor

Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt

General Description

The goal of a sanitation worker is to create a safe and hygienic work environment for food production. Candidate must be able to follow directions as well as follow provided company policies and procedures.

Job Duties

• Clean and sanitize processing equipment, production area and other assigned areas as per Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Disassemble, clean and reassemble food processing equipment and follow safety guidelines and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Work with cleaning chemicals and follow the chemical safe use and handling procedures.
• Must follow PPE practice when handling chemicals.
• Report equipment that is damaged, shows wear, or needs replacement to Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in hot, cold, wet and/or loud environments
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to lift, bend, twist, push and pull materials.
• Able to perform repetitive motions

Required elements

• Employees will be furnished with work boots, smocks, gloves, outerwear and other PPE as needed based on job duties
