Teller Trainee Methuen Branch at Rockland Trust in Methuen, MA

As a Teller Trainee, you will provide exceptional customer service, assist customers with banking transactions, and support branch goals while engaging in training to develop your skills. Responsibilities: - Make the first impression to our customers as they enter the branch, warmly greeting them and guiding them to the colleague who can best support their needs - Engage in constant customer support, exhibiting efficient, effective, and courteous customer service in person and via telephone - Serve customers by supplying them with information on the Rockland Trust banking products best suited to their individual needs - Ensure that customers feel cared for as you perform duties that require a high level of accuracy, such as processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, cash checking, and other financial transactions - Make decisions alongside immediate supervisor, which may become more extensive as position gains in knowledge and experience - Work closely with our training team and your branch team to learn about these responsibilities, and to complete Rockland Trust’s Teller Training - Perform any other duties as assigned by management Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Comfortable using technology, including computers, to facilitate the achievement of business goals - Sales and service-oriented personality - Ability to maintain a professional appearance - Positive approach to interactions with customers and team members - Ability to work within normal office requirements, with long periods of standing and continuous customer support - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds - Willingness and ability to work within a flexible work week, which may include weekends, as customer needs dictate - Ability to successfully complete our training program Preferred Qualifications: - Candidates should have 1-2 years prior teller experience or cash handling/customer service skills Required Skills: Cash Handling, Computer Literacy, Sales Orientation Benefits: Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision and Pet Insurance, 401K retirement plan, Long Term Disability & Life Insurance, Child Care Reimbursement, Tuition Assistance for graduate and undergraduate programs, An award winning wellness program
