Job Description
Summary: Roche is seeking a 2026 summer intern to join the de Sauvage Lab in the Department of Research Oncology at Genentech. The intern will apply molecular biology and computational approaches to study treatment-induced plasticity in colorectal cancer, contributing to drug discovery efforts and collaborating with researchers across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Work to characterize mechanisms of treatment-related plasticity in cell lines and 3D organoid models of cancer
- Analyze ‘omics data to provide insights into mechanisms of tumor suppression
- Keep detailed records of the research findings using an electronic notebook
- Communicate and present results to a diverse group of scientists during internal meetings
- Join a vibrant, rigorous, and industry-leading oncology community
- Contribute to a highly innovative project and collaborate productively with researchers across departments at Genentech
Required Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
- Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, Biochemistry or related fields
- Hands-on research experience in cell biology/biochemistry/molecular biology lab environment is required
- Expertise in advanced cell culture techniques such as cell line engineering using CRISPR/Cas9 or PiggyBac transposon systems
- Demonstrated ability to be highly motivated and work independently
