Summary: Robust.ai is seeking a data science intern to help unlock insights from their fleet of collaborative mobile robots. The intern will visualize data, analyze customer usage, and support data pipeline processes to enhance the understanding of robot performance and improve customer decision-making. Responsibilities: - Design and build automated reports/dashboards (using tools like Python or R) to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and issues - Mine robot logs to identify recurring "edge cases"—why do robots in Site A struggle with docking more than robots in Site B? - Analyze how customers are actually using our features (e.g., fleet energy management, queuing) to inform future product roadmaps - Work with the Validation team to categorize and visualize safety-related events and hardware failures to improve fleet reliability - Assist in refining our data ingestion process to ensure the most critical "robot truths" are captured and reported accurately - Design and generate visualizations that translate robot telemetry into business-critical insights (such as Throughput Consistency and Fleet Uptime) to help customers make data-driven decisions on facility staffing and operational scaling Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Robotics, Systems Engineering, or a related field - Proficient in Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or another data-analysis framework - Experience with data visualization tools - Ability to take a complex technical failure and explain its impact on the customer experience to a non-technical audience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with ROS and rosbag analysis Required Skills: Python, R, Data Visualization, Data Analysis, Pandas, NumPy, Robotics, ROS, Rosbag Analysis
