AI Engineer Intern- Summer 2026 at Roadie in Remote

Summary: Roadie, a UPS company, is a leading logistics and delivery platform that helps businesses tackle the complexities of modern retail. They are seeking an AI Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to work on building AI-powered products, including AI agents and data pipelines, to enhance Customer Support and Trust & Safety. Responsibilities: - Build and improve AI chatbot agents powered by LLMs, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and tool orchestration - Develop and refine fraud detection models using embeddings, semantic search, and rule-based systems - Design and maintain data pipelines, including ingestion, embedding, vector storage, and retrieval quality - Build evaluation frameworks to measure and improve AI agent accuracy and response quality - Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to ship features end-to-end in a fast-paced, agile environment - Write clean, testable code and contribute to our AI platform and internal tooling Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's students with a focus on AI/ML preferred) - Experience with Python and familiarity with REST APIs - Interest or hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, or machine learning pipelines - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Master's students with a focus on AI/ML - Experience with prompt engineering, embeddings, or vector databases - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) - Experience with data labeling, model evaluation, or NLP Required Skills: Python, Machine Learning, Data Pipelines Important Skills: REST APIs, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, Vector Databases Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
