International Payroll Analyst (MNC… at RiverForest… · Mumbai
Job Description
We are building a high-performing international payroll delivery team. This role will own end-to-end processing for assigned international payrolls, working to tight deadlines with strong controls, reconciliations, and a calm, solutions-focused approach. The function is evolving rapidly with significant process improvements and payroll-provider regionalization coming in the near future, so we’re looking for someone who can help shape and strengthen the way we operate.
Key responsibilities
International payroll delivery (multi-country)
- Own end-to-end payroll processing for assigned international payrolls.
- Manage payroll inputs, validations, provider liaison, checks/reconciliations, and close-out to agreed deadlines.
- Operate confidently with third-party payroll providers and maintain a clear audit trail of what was submitted, approved, and changed.
US payroll knowledge (required)
- Bring strong US payroll experience and in-depth US payroll knowledge (PAYE/tax code handling, statutory payments, pensions/auto-enrolment, salary sacrifice/AVCs, year-end rhythm). This expertise will support quality, back-up coverage, and troubleshooting across the team.
Controls, reconciliations & “audit-ready” working
- Perform robust Excel-based checks and reconciliations; maintain evidence and trackers so payrolls are transparent and reviewable.
- Proactively identify discrepancies and drive resolution with providers; document actions clearly (what changed, why, and confirmation).
Planning, escalation discipline, and ownership
- Work comfortably to strict cut-offs and conflicting deadlines, planning proactively and escalating risks early with a solution-focused mindset.
- Provide concise, factual status updates (on track / at risk / blocked) and close loops independently.
Continuous improvement & change readiness (must-have)
- Continuous improvement mindset: identify recurring issues, simplify steps, strengthen controls, and improve documentation/checklists.
- Change resilience: thrive in an evolving environment with upcoming process improvements and payroll provider regionalization; respond constructively to new ways of working and help embed them across the team.
Team continuity & professionalism
- Provide structured handovers for leave/OOO; ensure cover is arranged and nothing falls through the cracks.
- Support a calm, reliable team culture with respectful communication and consistent follow-through.
Essential experience & requirements
- International payroll experience (end-to-end), with exposure to multi-country cycles and working with providers.
- Strong US payroll experience + in-depth US payroll knowledge (as described above). Luxembourg payroll would be added advantage.
- Excel and reconciliation skills are a must (variance analysis, control checks, structured trackers).
