Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Floater Machine Operator at our Manufacturing Plant in Waupaca, WI.
Responsibilities
- Ability to run all FreshLock and SlideRite machines. (Completion of FreshLock/SlideRite MO skill certification).
- Ability to train as a Sub Team Leader and be a member of ERT
- Daily inspections of retains.
- Audit of paperwork, labels, and spools.
- Ensure bleach pumps are working properly.
- Review run conditions, wind patterns, shoes, blender ratio’s, and spec drawings.
- Check machines for rubbing.
- Ensure GainSeeker info is correct.
- GMP/Safety review including walkabouts.
- Check dryers on down machines for bad rollers, bearings, and Teflon tape.
- Parts bin quality management.
- Assist in quality back checks and RMA reviews.
- Assist in trouble shooting of machine and process needs.
- Assist in operator coverage for absenteeism and breaks as directed by Production Manager, Shift Lead, or Team Lead.
- Assist in problem solving for waste and downtime issues.
- Assist in annual screw cleaning maintenance.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Production Manager, Shift Lead, or Team Lead.
These duties are to provide support to the Fresh Lock®/Slide Rite area, including, but not limited to the following:
a) Assist putting finished rolls away
c) Assist restocking supplies – fibers, v-boards, slip-sheets, skids, and spool parts.
d) Assist taking out full skids and wrapping
e) Assist with start-ups – picking up scrap, weighing, putting into correct big boys, and taking out full skids of scrap.
f) Complete general housekeeping assignments per Production Manager, Shift Lead, or Team Lead.
g) Assist with 5’s activities in area
Qualifications
Requirements
- Good extrusion trouble shooting skills.
- Good understanding of spec’s and job jackets.
- Working knowledge of blenders/winders.
- Good record keeping/auditing abilities.
- Good Teamwork/coaching skills.
- Able to work overtime as required.
- Good computer/communication ski
