Head of Talent Delivery at ReWorks Solutions in South Africa

Head of Talent Delivery

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, highly driven Head of Talent Delivery to lead our Talent Delivery function at ReWorks Solutions.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing recruitment environment and knows how to balance people leadership, operational excellence and results.

We need a confident, assertive leader with high emotional intelligence, strong commercial awareness and the ability to make decisions, challenge where necessary and drive accountability across the team.

This is not a purely strategic or people-management role. You will be actively involved in the day-to-day operation, ensuring recruitment delivery remains on track, client expectations are managed and the team is supported to perform at its best.

• Establish clear expectations, accountability and a high-performance culture.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and development discussions.
• Support and advocate for the team while confidently addressing underperformance.
• Lead by example, remaining actively involved in recruitment delivery when required.

Operational Leadership & Delivery

• Maintain daily visibility of all active recruitment roles, submissions, interviews, placements and outstanding actions.
• Lead daily team discussions to establish priorities, identify bottlenecks and resolve delivery challenges.
• Allocate resources effectively and adjust priorities as business and client requirements change.
• Ensure recruitment timelines, candidate quality and delivery standards are consistently achieved.
• Monitor recruitment pipelines, identify risks early and implement practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate recruitment reporting, systems and workflow visibility.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and overall delivery performance.

Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Confidently manage client expectations, challenging unrealistic requirements or timelines where necessary.
• Engage directly with clients to clarify recruitment requirements, resolve delivery concerns and improve outcomes.
• Work closely with Sourcing, Account Management, Sales and other operational teams.
• Navigate difficult conversations professionally and assertively.
• Ensure clear, proactive communication throughout the recruitment process.

Recruitment Quality & Delivery

• Oversee candidate quality, shortlisting, client submissions and interview coordination.
• Ensure candidates are appropriately screened, assessed and prepared before client submission.
• Drive timely client feedback and maintain momentum through the recruitment process.
• Monitor key recruitment metrics, including submission quality, interview conversion, closing rates and time to hire.
• Ensure recruitment processes and internal quality standards are consistently followed.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Technical Capability

• Proven experience in a senior recruitment leadership or Talent Delivery management role.
• Strong experience managing and developing recruitment delivery teams.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes and high-volume delivery environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client requirements and competing priorities.
• Strong client-facing experience, including managing challenging relationships and expectations.
• Experience working with recruitment KPIs, performance reporting and operational dashboards.
• Strong understanding of applicant tracking systems, recruitment workflows and process improvement.
• Experience in a recruitment outsourcing, RPO or BPO environment would be highly advantageous.

Leadership & Personal Attributes

This is where we will be particularly selective.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

• High emotional intelligence: Understands people, reads situations well and balances empathy with accountability.
• Assertive leadership: Confidently pushes back, challenges decisions and stands firm when necessary without becoming confrontational.
• Strong people leadership: Genuinely cares about their team, develops individuals, earns trust and is comfortable having difficult conversations.

• Hands-on leadership: Willing to roll up their sleeves, support the team and lead from the front.
