As a Data Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with the Global Data Platform teams, supporting the operation and optimization of ResMed’s Snowflake cloud data warehouse environment while collaborating with experienced professionals. Responsibilities: - Assisting with Snowflake platform support, including monitoring, incident triage, and issue resolution - Supporting database administration activities such as user access management, role-based security, and data governance controls - Helping analyze and improve query performance, warehouse utilization, and cost optimization - Assisting with routine operational tasks, documentation, and automation using SQL and scripting tools - Collaborating with data engineers and analytics teams to support data pipelines, reporting, and business intelligence workloads Required Qualifications: - Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026 - Currently pursuing academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field - Foundational experience with SQL and relational database concepts - Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or Bash) - Understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based technologies Preferred Qualifications: - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills - Strong experiences as demonstrated through projects, research or academic internships - Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills - Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations - Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with ResMed Required Skills: SQL, Data warehousing, Cloud technologies Important Skills: Python, Java, Bash Nice-to-Have Skills: Critical thinking, Problem-solving, Interpersonal skills, Team cooperation, Communication skills, Organizational skills, Collaboration skills
