Job Description
Summary: Republic Airways is an airline based in Indianapolis, offering scheduled passenger service to various cities. They are seeking a LIFT Admissions Intern for Summer 2026 to provide customer service support, oversee retail operations, and assist with outreach and recruitment events.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service in support of potential customers to our Myrtle Beach Aviation Center
- Answer general questions about the flight training program
- Oversee day-to-day operations of our retail store
- Restock and maintain inventory levels for LIFT merchandise. Maintain clean and tidy facilities
- Facilitate quality tours of the campus to prospective students and Republic Airways employees
- Coordinate, support, and attend various outreach and recruitment events locally
- Support LIFT Admissions via direct communication campaigns to prospective students
- Present company specific information to internal and external groups
- Gather data and other information in support of Admissions as requested
- Opportunity to observe the interview process for various groups throughout LIFT Admissions & Enrollment
- Opportunity to shadow other business groups within LIFT and Republic Airways
- Opportunity to attend career fairs and larger scale recruitment events with LIFT recruitment team
- Perform other duties and presentations as assigned or required
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Aviation, or related
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
- Strong analytical skills
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Proficient communication and presentation skills
- Adequate event planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Ability to work onsite at our Myrtle Beach, South Carolina location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Able to read and interpret technical, regulatory and contractual documentation
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Makes day to day decisions used to support strategic direction
- Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results
- Able to move about the work environment
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear
- Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel
