Job Description
Summary: Valorem Reply is an award-winning digital transformation firm focused on delivering solutions around data-driven enterprise and IT modernization. As a Junior Security Consultant, you will support the design and implementation of security solutions across client engagements, gaining hands-on exposure to enterprise security environments using Microsoft technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support client discovery efforts by participating in workshops and documenting business requirements, current-state environments, risks, and future-state recommendations
- Assist in configuring and validating security solutions under senior guidance, including Microsoft Entra, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel
- Support security assessments and implementation activities by helping analyze configurations, review controls, document findings, and track remediation actions
- Create and maintain project and client-facing documentation, including technical documentation, status updates, workshop summaries, and solution design artifacts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while tracking assigned tasks and risks, continuously developing consulting, technical, and communication skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for client-facing environments
- Ability to work collaboratively within team-based project settings
- Foundational understanding of information security concepts such as identity and access management, endpoint security, data protection, networking, and security operations
- Demonstrated interest in cloud and enterprise security technologies, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms and tools
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future employer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field
- Exposure to Microsoft security technologies such as Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, Purview, or Sentinel
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise environments, especially Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
- Exposure to security frameworks or best practices such as Zero Trust, NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001
- Internship, lab, research, or project experience related to cybersecurity, IT risk, security engineering, or security operations
- Interest in pursuing Microsoft and/or security certifications such as SC-900, AZ-900, MS-900, SC-300, or Security+
