Job Description
Summary: Andersen Corporation is a leading company in the residential and commercial building sector, seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician II to provide technical support to their manufacturing organization. The role focuses on monitoring and improving manufacturing processes and equipment to meet customer and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes
- Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, and maintenance to solve issues
- Troubleshoot problems with other technical employees, suppliers, and outside experts
- Become the SME on specialty processes on supported lines
- Drive corrective action through root cause identification and structured problem solving
- Create training tools, documents, and standard operating procedures for production processes
- Provide training, instruction, and guidance to production associates
- Partner with the Safety group to ensure all new or modified processes meet or exceed corporate safety requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and events
- Present technical information or proposals to team members
- Accurately assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and provide practical solutions to eliminate ergonomic risk
- Conduct testing related to introducing product improvements into the manufacturing process
- Responsible for supporting the implementation and stabilization of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Required Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in technical field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of 2D & 3D solid modeling preferred (AutoCad/Inventor)
- General PLC and CNC Programming Knowledge
- Strong math, science, mechanical and experimental skills
- Understanding of the basic principles and operation of a work area, with a growing ability to apply them in a variety of assignments
- Experience creating manufacturing and maintenance documentation (MSI, LOTO, Work Instruction, PM, AM)
