Summary: Elsevier is a global leader in information, analytics, and technology, and they are seeking Entry Level Software Engineers to join their Philadelphia Technology Hub. The role involves developing and maintaining full-stack applications that support health and education platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and learning industry best practices in software development. Responsibilities: - Developing and maintaining full-stack applications supporting our Health and Education platforms and products - Collaborating with product managers, designers, data scientists, and senior engineers to deliver impactful solutions - Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code using modern programming languages and frameworks - Participating in Agile development ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives - Contributing to cloud-based, scalable systems that support global users - Learning and executing industry best practices in software architecture, security, performance, and quality engineering - Helping translate complex business and healthcare needs into effective technical solutions Required Qualifications: - Expected 2026 graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline - Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: - Desired interest in building software for a mission-driven, global organization - Academic or internship experience with some of the following: Java, Python, React, Node.js, SQL, AWS and or Cloud Technologies - Understanding of or exposure to Agile software development practices - Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and eagerness to learn and utilize new technologies including AI Required Skills: Java, Python, React, Node.js Important Skills: SQL, AWS, Cloud Technologies, Agile Development Nice-to-Have Skills: Curiosity, Problem-solving, Communication, Collaboration Benefits: This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus., Country specific benefits
