Job Description:
Job Summary**
The Regional Controller will oversee and manage the financial operations for multiple properties within a designated region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of PRH Investments, LLC DBA The Related Group's regional portfolio.
Job Responsibilities**
* Manage and supervise all aspects of regional accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. * Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP and company policies. * Develop and monitor regional budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions. * Oversee the preparation of all necessary financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory bodies. * Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. * Coordinate and support external audits, providing all required documentation and explanations. * Manage cash flow and treasury functions for the region, optimizing liquidity and investment strategies. * Provide financial guidance and support to regional property management teams, assisting with operational decisions and performance improvements. * Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals within the region. * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is highly preferred. * Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or controller role, preferably within the real estate or property management industry. * Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. * Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. * Strong leadership and team management abilities. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and external stakeholders. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
