Job Description
Summary: Reingold, Inc. is a full-service marketing and creative firm based in Alexandria, VA, dedicated to helping organizations improve the world. They are seeking an AI Innovation Intern who will contribute to projects involving AI-powered workflows and tools, collaborating with various teams to enhance operations and deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Experimenting with agent-building tools (pro-code and no-code) and APIs from platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, and vector databases
- Exploring and evaluating tools such as Glean, Microsoft Copilot, and other emerging AI assistants
- Testing and benchmarking new AI technologies in real Reingold workflows to assess performance and impact
- Collaborating with strategists, marketers, and tech teams to identify problems and brainstorm AI solutions
- Designing and refining internal tools and automations to enhance operations or analysis
- Building and testing reusable AI components (embeddings, retrievers, agents) for projects across teams
- Integrating and transforming data from various sources to support robust AI workflows
- Running experiments on AI workflow reliability, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness
- Documenting results, identifying opportunities for improvement, and sharing insights with the team
- Creating clear documentation and user guides for prototypes and tools
- Sharing learnings and best practices with the broader Reingold community
- Participating in hands-on learning, troubleshooting, and iterative development throughout all projects
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience building AI or automation projects — through professional work, coursework, or self-directed experiments
- Deep interest in how emerging AI tools work, eagerness to explore new frameworks or APIs
- Willingness to debug, test, and optimize AI workflows for cost, latency, and reliability
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills; you can take a vague goal and figure out how to build something that works
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical work to non-technical teammates
- Possess a bachelor's degree
- A bias toward action; you like to build, test, learn, and iterate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience deploying small applications or tools
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or serverless AI services
- Experience with prompt engineering and evaluating generative model performance
- Exposure to automation frameworks (e.g., N8N, Zapier, Make, or API-based integrations)
