Role Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical, technically strong individual contributor tooperationalizeand evangelizeour use of theEquifax Ignite platform. This role will serve as the internal subject matter expert on Ignite, translating business needs into actionable data solutions, and enabling data-driven decisioning across the organization.
This is aplayer-coach style individual contributor role—operating independently while developing deepdata andplatform expertise and providing guidance, training, and best practices to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as theprimary owner and subject matter expertfor the Equifax Ignite platform
Develop a deep understanding ofconsumer credit bureau data, including tradeline structures and attributesand all other data elements and scores available through Ignite
Translate business needs intodata queries, rules,attributesand actionable insights
Design and buildad hoc and recurring reports, dashboards, and datasetsusing Ignite data
Design and build new data elements to improve underwriting by increasing volume and/or reducing credit losses
Manipulate and analyzetradeline-level bureau datato support business use cases
Identify opportunities toautomate reporting, workflows, and data processes
Partner with stakeholders across the business (Risk, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to deliver insights and solutions
Communicate findings clearly to bothtechnical and non-technical audiences, including occasional executive interaction
Ensure usage of the Ignite platform aligns withvendor agreements and data governance requirements
LeverageAI tools/agentsto efficientlykeep track of macro credit trends and identify new attributes to be used in underwriting
Act as aknowledge resource, providing training and guidance to others on Ignite capabilities and data usage
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience indata analytics or data science roles
Advanced proficiency inSQL and/or Python(ability to independently build complex queries and analyses)
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science (or similar field)
Strong experience translatingbusiness requirements into data solutions
Proven ability to workindependently in a loosely structured environment
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and explain insights to stakeholders
Experience working withlarge, complex datasets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working withconsumer credit bureau data, especiallytradeline-level data
Advanceddegreein Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science (or similar field)
Prior experience withEquifax Igniteor similar credit bureau platforms
Background infinancial services, lending, or consumer finance
Experience buildingautomated reporting or data pipelines
Familiarity withBI tools(Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
