Full-time Regular
Early Learning Instructional Coach
- Location: Multiple Early Learning Centers throughout King & Snohomish Counties
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends as needed)
- Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour

Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering refugee and immigrant women, families, and communities to thrive. Through culturally and linguistically responsive programs, ReWA provides early learning, education, employment, housing, legal, behavioral health, and family support services throughout King and Snohomish Counties.
ReWA's Early Learning Department operates five Early Learning Centers serving children from birth through age five. Through multilingual, culturally responsive teaching practices, ReWA creates welcoming learning environments where children, families, and educators can learn and grow together.
About the Role
ReWA is seeking an Early Learning Instructional Coach to support and strengthen instructional quality across its Early Learning Centers. As a member of the Early Learning Leadership Team, this role partners with educators through coaching, mentoring, classroom observations, and professional development to build instructional capacity and promote high-quality, culturally and linguistically responsive teaching practices.
This is a non-supervisory leadership position focused on supporting educator growth, strengthening classroom quality, and improving outcomes for children and families through relationship-based coaching and continuous learning.
What You'll Do
Instructional Coaching
- Conduct classroom observations to support instructional quality and continuous improvement
- Facilitate individualized coaching cycles using reflective, strengths-based practices
- Model effective teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, and teacher-child interactions
- Support curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and culturally responsive instruction
- Partner with educators to establish and achieve professional growth goals
- Facilitate reflective conversations, feedback sessions, and action planning
Teacher Development
- Support onboarding and coaching for new educators during their first 90 days
- Develop individualized professional growth plans
- Facilitate professional learning communities, workshops, and job-embedded training
- Support educator well-being, resilience, and retention
- Identify leadership potential and encourage professional growth
- Collaborate with center leadership to strengthen instructional practices across the department
Classroom Quality & Child Development
- Observe classrooms and identify strengths, trends, and opportunities for growth
- Support engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environments
- Coach educators on culturally and linguistically responsive teaching practices
- Support implementation of HighScope, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and other quality initiatives
- Coach teachers in applying child development principles and inclusive practices
- Collaborate with families, specialists, and community partners to support children's success
- Promote strong educator-family partnerships that support child development and learning
Organizational Learning
- Analyze classroom observation data and identify instructional trends
- Help inform professional development priorities and continuous improvement efforts
- Participate in strategic planning and leadership initiatives
- Foster collaboration and consistency across multiple Early Learning Centers
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and coaching development
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field
- Five or more years of experience as a Lead Teacher, Mentor Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Director, Director, or similar leadership role
- Expertise in child development and developmentally appropriate practice
- Experience coaching and mentoring adult learners
- Experience facilitating professional development
- Strong knowledge of curriculum implementation, classroom quality, and reflective practice
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze observation data and create professional learning plans
- Ability to travel between Early Learning Centers
- Ability to meet all Washington State licensing, health, and background requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience with HighScope, CLASS, ECERS, Teaching Strategies GOLD, or similar quality improvement frameworks
- Experience supporting dual-language classrooms
- Experience working with refugee and immigrant families
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
