Job Description
Summary: Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Wealth Management Operations Intern to support their Wealth Management team through project-based work. The role involves building an internal resource page and streamlining electronic wealth data, providing hands-on exposure to the skills used by financial advisors.
Responsibilities:
- Foster positive relationships with other Redwood Credit Union team members
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy and accountability in providing support to the Wealth Management Department
- Ensure all required account documents are acquired, updated, and scanned to Members’ Investment account
- Appropriately plan and organize daily work and projects, anticipating workload and foreseeing obstacles
- Maintain confidentiality of correspondence, documents, discussions, meetings, and telephone calls
- Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure timely processing of investment requests
- Perform duties specific to reporting/marketing/operations as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior in college
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Interest in finance or becoming a Financial Advisor
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Strong quantitative and analytic skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to provide a recent transcript during the interview process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business Administration/Management
- Finance
- Economics
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Access
