Are you an experienced Goods in Operative with practical skills in despatch. Do you enjoy hands on work while ensuring efficiency and accuracy is kept?
Our client is looking for a Goods in Operative to join their expanding team due to continued business growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established family-run manufacturer that values its employees, offers stable year-round work, and provides ongoing training and development opportunities.
As the new Goods in Operative, you will:
- Receive and check incoming goods
- Load and unload deliveries safely
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for Despatch
- Complete delivery and Despatch paperwork
- Maintain an organized and tidy warehouse
- Work closely with the wider team to meet daily targets
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Use ERP systems to generate shipping documents
Main Requirements for this role:
- Previous warehouse/goods-in experience
- Goods in, picking, packing and despatch experience
- Good attention to detail
- Basic IT/ERP system experience
- Able to complete paperwork and shipping documents
- Good organisation and teamwork
- Understanding of health & safety
- Reliable and physically capable of handling goods
- Salary for this role is £12.86 per hour
- This is a full-time permanent position based in Staveley, Chesterfield
- Breaks included throughout the working day - 2 x 10-minute paid breaks and 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
- Work is carried out in a well-lit production environment
- 18 days holiday plus bank holidays (including 2 reserved days for the Christmas shutdown)
