Summary: Reata Engineering & Machine Works is launching their 2026 Summer Internship Program for students interested in advanced manufacturing. This 8-week hands-on program offers interns real-world experience in CNC machining, engineering, and production within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Operate CNC machines under supervision (shop interns) - Assist with programming, setup, and process improvements - Support engineering and production teams on active jobs - Participate in quality control and inspection processes - Learn materials, tooling, and machining strategies - Troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts - Follow all safety and quality standards (AS9100, aerospace/medical requirements) Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program: Advanced Manufacturing, CNC Machining, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Machining program at CCIC - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment - Strong communication and organizational skills - Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship - For those currently enrolled, we are only considering Juniors & Seniors Preferred Qualifications: - Basic understanding of CNC machining and/or CAD/CAM software preferred Required Skills: CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, Advanced manufacturing, Mechanical engineering, Manufacturing engineering, Quality control, Inspection processes, Process improvement, Materials knowledge, Tooling knowledge, Machining strategies, AS9100 standards, Analytical skills
