Job Description
Summary: RBC is a leading global asset management firm, seeking a Sales Analyst for their Institutional Sales team. The role involves providing business management support to drive revenue growth and develop successful relationships within the investment management business.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop and implement the team’s business development plan, cultivate the assigned territory, and foster new relationships to drive sales
- Assist the sales team on territory support, maintain up-to-date research on target markets/sectors utilizing industry databases to research and define selling opportunities around specific market segments
- Work with the RFP Team and Institutional Sales to review draft responses and ensure the RFP/questionnaire is customized to prospects' needs and work closely with Marketing to leverage the firm’s intellectual capital and present our thought leadership to prospects and clients
- Develop a successful targeted email communication plan to prospects and analyze the e-distribution data to support a focused selling effort and work with the Institutional Sales team to ensure timely and accurate information on institutional sales prospects is in the firm’s CRM
- Manage responses to prospect and client inquiries (e.g. quarterly questionnaires, RFI’s, RFPs, sales reports, marketing campaigns, due diligence analysis, etc.) for all strategies
- Establish regional and market segment specific email distribution lists within the firm’s CRM and manage distribution lists on an ongoing basis and manage e-Distribution strategy to facilitate a targeted and focused selling effort by ensuring all contacts within the CRM are accurate and up-to-date
- Prepare and coordinate all aspects relating to sales presentations and due diligence visits such as logistics, prep packs, presentation booklets, briefing memos and agendas. Participate in and host prospect meetings/calls, prepare agendas and materials, handle follow-up and document meeting minutes
- Conduct research projects to develop better insights and understanding of specific market segments and trends and the solutions RBC GAM can provide
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree, preferably in finance, business, or a related field of study
- Demonstrated (internships, career history, school club participation, etc.) interest and curiosity in financial markets and desire to build a career in investment management
- FINRA Series 7, 63 required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Unrelenting attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects on an ongoing basis in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including demonstrated expertise with PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills
- Adept in AI tools and ability to efficiently incorporate into workflows
