Summary: Raytheon is a leading defense contractor committed to helping the nation and allies defend freedoms. They are seeking an entry-level RF Engineer to contribute to antenna and radome design projects, working with diverse teams and applying technical principles in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Development of antenna or radome hardware and requirements
- Working with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc
- Working with antenna manufacturing suppliers
- Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high performance computing resources (HPC)
- Interpret simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
- Experience and/or coursework with RF and electromagnetic theory
- Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASP
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications:
- ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Solid background and practical understanding of designing GPS antenna systems (to include experience or relevant course work)
- Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work)
- Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
- Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
